Perfomance Pilates Personal Training

Pilates has been in existence for several decades. However, Its renewed popularity is due to the famous actors and athletes who claim incredible results. The Pilates’ method, developed by the late German athlete Joseph Pilates, is physical and mental conditioning incorporating the principles of concentration, control, centering, flow, precision and breath.

Pilates benefits everyone…young, old, fit or injured. It is a conditioning program that provides simultaneous stretching and strengthening of the deep abdominal and back muscles, enhancing postural integrity and trunk stability that builds trim, toned bodies. This resistance control method focuses on developing and rehabilitating total body strength and flexibility.

Get Long, Get Strong, Get Lean

"A life in balance is a life enjoyed. I have always found my greatest achievements in running my own business while maintaining a rewarding marriage and raising a child, centered on a balanced body, mind, and spirit" - Liz Hilliard

The benefits of Pilates are:

  • Greater mind-body awareness
  • Core stability and body balance
  • Enhanced performance (e.g. in dance, yoga, running tennis, golf…life)
  • Increased flexibility, agility and mobility
  • Relief of pain and tension
  • Flatter abs and better posture
  • Increased circulation
  • Stronger, longer, leaner muscles

The Performance Pilates program is designed to tone and sculpt your entire body and help you lose weight, through a combination of controlled movements utilizing the unique Pilates equipment that’s guaranteed to shape and sculpt long, lean muscles.

Pilates lengthens and strengthens muscles and focuses on developing a strong torso. Joseph Pilates called this "core conditioning." He knew that these "core" muscles are the body's center of power and control. If they are strong, the rest of the body moves more easily.

Pilates training will reshape hips, thighs and glutes, increase abdominal strength and muscle elongation and improve spinal alignment.

The Performance Pilates Method is perfect for any audience because it is a low-impact, balanced system that works to rehabilitate the injured, invigorate the mature, as well as challenge the very fit.
